New York Mixed Race Election Night Party

Where: Olive Tree Cafe (above The Comedy Center)
117 MacDougal St
New York, NY 10012
212-254-3480

When: November 4, 2008. The event is scheduled to start around 8:30 and they don't take reservations, so please show up as early as possible to help stake out some space (I'll be there by 7pm).

Damage: There’s no cover charge at the Olive Tree; however there will be a $10.00 food or drink minimum per person at the tables (come have dinner!)

Whatever your political affiliations, this is going to be a HUGE night. And whatever way it falls out, the incoming presidential families will both be multi-racial (McCain does have an adopted Bangladeshi daughter afterall). So all in all, it's going to be a pretty exciting night for us to either celebrate or commiserate.

Along with the theme of big milestones, we'd also like to recognize and celebrate the group's 1 year anniversary! We have had a lot of great events this year and I have seen a lot of great connections made. And now that the summer is over, we'll be picking things up again with some new ideas (stay tuned for info on an upcoming book club/discussion session with author). But first, let's get things started with a party.
